Pregnancy & Newborn Care
Birthing & Beyond
We’ll help you get ready to have your baby. These classes are open to pregnant moms & their support person. Topics include: nutrition & exercise during your pregnancy, labor & delivery, making your birth plan, bonding with your newborn, newborn care. Classes are held Mondays, 6:30-8pm. No class on holidays.
Breastfeeding Clinic
These classes are open to pregnant moms, nursing moms and mom’s support person. Taught in conjunction with Nursing Mothers Counsel. Everything momma needs to know to enjoy a relaxed and happy feeding relationship with her baby. Classes are held the fourth Monday of the month, 6-8pm.
Parenting
Love & Logic
Is raising kids harder than you thought it would be? Are you exhausted at the end of the day? Do your kids whine, bicker, argue? You could use a little Love & Logic! Join us on Thursdays, 6:30-8pm. Parenting can be fun for parents, caregivers. Certificates of attendance for participants. English only. Next session begins October 7th. Call now to register! Class is filling up! 503.249.5801.
Cooking & Nutrition
OSU Extension Service presents a six-part foods/nutrition class. Bilingual English/Spanish, Tuesday mornings, 10am-noon. Your little ones are welcome. Next session will runs October 12 through November 16.
Sewing & Knitting
Moms Stitch and Knit
Enjoy the company of other moms while you sew, knit, embroider or do other needlework projects. Supplies & equipment provided or bring your unfinished projects. No experience needed. Your little ones are welcome. Classes are held Wednesdays, 10:30am-12:30pm, EXCEPT on the last Wednesday of the month.
Money Matters
Dollar Sense
S-t-r-e-t-c-h your dollars so they’ll go farther. A tiny change in attitude and a couple easy-to-follow principles will help you take charge of your money. English Language Learning
ELL – Grammar for Russian speakers
English language learners is for moms & dads who would like to practice speaking English. All different levels of fluency are invited to particpate. These classes are held on Wednesdays, 1-3pm, EXCEPT on the last Wednesday of the month.
ELL – Conversation & American Culture
Especially for Russian speaking moms & dads who are new to American culture. Vocabulary building. Classes are held Thursdays, 1-3pm.
