About Us
Mother & Child Education Center has offered practical help to many thousands of pregnant women and families since our founding in 1971. We are an independent nonprofit organization, governed by a board of directors and managed by an executive director. We receive no government funding and are supported entirely by donations, grants and fundraisers. All services are provided without restrictions of residency or income. Our center is open 50 hours a week and you are welcome to stop by without an appointment.

Our Motivation

Commitment to Mothers

We will provide a safe gathering place for mothers.

We will remove barriers of language, culture and custom so that all women will know they are welcome.

Our services will be free.

We will place no restrictions on residence or income.

We will creatively assist each mother before, during and after pregnancy so that she can confidently nurture her child.

We will provide mothers with practical help: resources, supplies, referrals, mentoring and learning opportunities.
