About Us
Mother & Child Education Center has offered practical help to many thousands of pregnant women in Portland since our founding in 1971. We are an independent nonprofit organization, governed by a board of directors and managed by an executive director. We receive no government funding and are supported entirely by donations, grants and fundraisers. All of our services are free and offered without restrictions of residency or income. Our center is open 50 hours a week and you are welcome to stop by without an appointment.
